NYFW: Chiara Boni La Petite Robe
My third show of New York fashion week was Chiara Boni's La Petite Robe. The F/W 2015-2016 took show at Lincoln Place, where all the Mercedes Benz shows are happening. Lincoln Center was in full force with well dressed attendees like model Coco Rocha lingering around in the lobby.
Inside La Petite Robe, there was soft music playing and the lights were dimmed low making for a whimsical vibe. The show was set up so that the models did a lap around the venue, giving everyone a view of the newest pieces of Chiara Boni's collection. I was fortunate enough to be given a first row seat which made for a great view of the show.
Chiara Boni's newest collection consisted of jackets, elegant dresses, and some more casual dresses. Like all of Chiara Boni's past collections, this collection was very simple yet feminine and included a lot of color. There were some floral decals on the dresses and some jackets, which tied into the fashion show's theme of a garden. Like I saw at the Mara Hoffman show, there was a lot of gold decals on the dresses. There was a lot of cutouts and a lot of sheer dresses as well which I feel will be a trend in the upcoming fashion season.
