"Giant Peach" - Wolf Alice

You would think that to reach success and to sell out shows as a musician, you would have to have at least released an album at a minimum. Wolf Alice, a four-piece London based rock band, prove this conspiracy wrong. In the past two years, the band has released two EPs and two singles gaining immense worldwide success. From much sought-after spots at Glastonbury, a recent stint supporting alt-J, and a sold out United Kingdom headline tour, it seems that the only place they’re going is up.
Wolf Alice has finally announced a much-anticipated full-length album, My Love Is Cool that is set to be released on June 23 through Dirty Hits/RCA. Last night, BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe premiered the first song off My Love Is Cool entitled "Giant Peach".
Wolf Alice's music has a sound that mixes from folk to a heavy metal. On "Giant Peach", described by vocalist Ellie Roswell as a track you can dance to, the band delivers a dose of rock, much more prominent than on this track than on any of their previously released EPs and singles.
The song's minute and a half intro is filled with heavy guitar rifts fading in and out, much like their older songs, "Storms" and “Moaning Lisa Smile”. I am so excited to listen to the album in June and to finally have new music from Wolf Alice. I am obsessed with this song and would definitely recommend listening to it.
