The 1975 "Love Me" Review
Premiering on BBC Radio 1 last week, British four-piece The 1975 have released their first single, "Love Me", from their upcoming sophomore album. Fans have been anticipating the release of new music from the band as they have not released anything since their 2013 debut album.
The track, which is about narcissism and fame, is a completely new sound for the band. While their past music was indie and darker, "Love Me" is an upbeat song sounding like it came straight out of the '80's, a time period which the band has expressed is a huge influence on their new music. Fingers crossed we will get a music video for "Love Me" soon!
The band also announced their sophomore album I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It will be out in February and include 17 new tracks (!!!). With pop single and their new pink aesthetic this next album is sure to be something brand new for the band and their fans. Hopefully before February there will be another single released to get yet another taste of what the new album holds.
