'Insurgent' NYC Premiere

Based on the #1 seller by Veronica Ross, the  latest installment of the Divergent series, 'Insurgent', premiered on Monday night in New York City at the Zeigfeld Theater. There has been so much hype for this film to premiere, so I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to be in attendance at this amazing star-studded event!

'Insurgent' continues where the first action packed film left off with Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) on the run from Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) and her Erudite faction. When the Erudite faction are gaining power Tris decides she must fight and protect here home.

The energy at the event was amazing! Everyone was so excited and happy to be there. In attendance were stars of the film such as Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller and the author behind it all, Veronica Roth. I got the chance to briefly speak to Veronica Roth and I thought she was so humble and kind. She took time to make sure all the waiting fans got their books signed! After flaunting her back at the film's London premiere, Shailene stunned with natural hair and makeup wearing a Ralph Lauren halter dress and Stuart Weitzman heels (which she ditched at the end in favor of leaving the event bare foot). Along with the cast of the film was teen actress Peyton List and 'Orange Is The New Black' star Jackie Cruz. The stars stopped to meet some of the fans and continued onto the blue carpet which was swamped with paparazzi and press.

'Insurgent' is also a reunion that the screaming fans waiting outside the premiere are excited for. Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort are back together after staring in the smash hit "The Fault in Our Stars" and Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller work together again after starring together in "The Spectacular Now".

"Insurgent" hits theaters Friday and is not a movie you are going to want to miss. With a celebrity filled cast and an action packed plot, the film is sure to be another smash for the Divergent series.
